About Dr Dowson
Dr Donna Dowson grew up in the west of Gauteng and attended Krugersdorp high school. She excelled in athletics and represented South Africa in various international sporting events as a junior springbok sprinter.
She completed her MBBCh (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) through the University of WitWatersRand Medical School. She was awarded a Golden Key by the Golden Key International Honour Society for being one of the top 10% achievers in her class.
Dr Dowson completed a 2 year Internship at Witbank hospital, and completed her years community service at the South Rand Hospital in Alberton.
Dr Dowson completed a Cosmetic Dermatology Accredited Training Course in Cape Town run by Dr Alec Nikolic in the use of Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers in the use of Cosmetic Dermatology. She has a passion and skill as an artist, enjoying oil and Acrylic painting. This makes her the ideal Aesthetic Practitioner, combining Art & Medicine.
Dr Dowson is married with two young children, so she understands the concerns and frustrations that come with having sick children (and a sick husband…..)
